ABSTRACT PAINTING AS A FORM OF FIGURATION.

Most canvasses are 100 cm by 120 cm.  The use of painting mediums plays an important role in achieving the right kind of transparancy.  It’s because of this technique the paintings start to unwrap themselves after a while, layer by layer, and grow on the viewer. The subjects are often people in a landscape referring to archaic stories and impressions of modern life, painted with a loose and elegant brushstroke. Over the years the style developped from post-academic into abstract figuration.  Every now and then going back to earlier periods or jumping forwards.
